Went to Stillwater last night and hung out with Kurt and some of the guys from his house. It was an interesting night to say the least. You can be pretty sure you are in Stillwater, Oklahoma when you drive thru a barn to buy beer, never getting out of your vehicle.

As I write this news update, I am slowly sweating to death in my dorm room. The evil university has informed us by means of slipping a letter under our door that the cooling system will be pumping out cool air by the time we return from Spring Break. They tried to pass this on to us as though it were good news, but we know better. It has come down to a struggle to survive. I'm not sure I can make it the three weeks to Spring Break. I'll be surprised.... if I ... can last another... day....

Mac 7 has made the playoffs! With our first 'authentic' win we clinched a playoff spot with a record of 3-2. I'm in a state of disbelief and denial right now. Oh well. I guess I will get to continue playing now since I won't be playing on Kyle's team anymore. Apparently you aren't allowed to be on two teams at once, and I am official signed up with Mac 7 so I will be playing with them in the playoffs. Anyway, it's time for me to go wash my whites and work on a paper that was due yesterday. I'm wearing my last pair of undies.

Its the last day of my weekend, and yours too most likely. About the only thing I did this weekend was go the movies. On Friday night I saw Payback. It was pretty much a kick ass movie. Saturday night I saw Office Space. I thought this movie was hilarious, but at the same time it was almost scary. I sat there hoping that I wouldn't be in the position these people are in once I become part of the work force. Anyway, go see these movies. I recommend them both.

4:00 PM - I took my first Java test around noon today. It was relatively easy considering the program we had to write for our homework. The new design for Morpheus.net is up, although I am still working on it. Go check it out. Today my pathetic Intramural team plays again. I predict we get run rulled (down by tweenty-five at any point in the second half) and the game is called. I'll let you know how it goes.
7:00 PM - Much to my amazement our team played a not-quite-terrible game today. It was to no avail though, as the other team came from behind in the second half ending the regulation in a tie. The three minute overtime was just enough for us to let the game slip away. It was quite a thriller, and to top it all off there was almost a fight. One of our players got a little upset when one of theirs drop his shoulder and busted our guy's lip. He got up looking to swing as the entire other team was quick to back their friend up. I decided it wasn't worth getting involved since it wasn't intentional and I don't even know the guy on our team. So, I kept my seat on the bench. We improved our record from 2-1 to 2-2. Keep up the good work guys! One more and we are out!

Yet another intramural game today for my Couch 6 West team. We won by one point. The other team hit a long shot at the buzzer but his toe was on the line, making the shot only worth two points. This game wouldn't have been near as close had the other team not had a little help from the refs. On another note, I am working on a redesign of http://www.morpheus.net/. I seriously doubt this puts this page on hold by any means since it only takes about 5 minutes to update the news. No new content will be seen over the next week besides news updates however. That is unless I decided to put up a little flash movie/clip I have been throwing together. While on the subject of web pages, Kyle, my roommate, has put the beginnings of his web page up. Visit it at http://www.morpheus.net/~kyle/. By the way, calc test went okay today. I figure I passed it with a minimum of a C.

3:00 PM - I went home yesterday, and last night I went to see 'She's All That' with Daisi and Danita. Definately not a movie I would recommend to a friend. However, I would consider recommending it to people I don't like. I made it a pretty short trip home this weekend. Its time to study calculus. I have a test on Monday.
10:30 PM - It's nights when you catch yourself typing in random URLs and seeing if something is actually there that you realize how pathetic you truly are.

Yet another intramural game today, this time my other team, Mac 7,played the Adams Betas.  It was quite an interesting game so I will tell you about it.  It's half time and we are down by a score of 30-14.  The Beta's continue to kick our asses during the beginning of the second half.  Then, after rebounding one of our shots, the guy throws the ball up the court to a wide open teammate.  This guy takes two dribbles to the hoop and begins to elevate.  Up he went, all the way to the rim.   He drops the ball into the basket, grazing the rim on his way back down to the floor.  The referee blows his whistle and starts waving his hands as if he was calling the shot off.  The referee signals a Technical foul and all of a sudden we have won the ball game, despite the fact that there was well over 13 minutes left to play.   My team starts jumping up and down with joy as I sat on the bench embarrassed by our sucky basketball nature.

Mac 7                          2-1     won both due to disqualification
Couch 6 West           2-1     lost one due to disqualifaction (lack of players)

My other intramural team had a game today.  We tore the opposition up, literally.  I think the officiating crew forgot to bring their whistles to this game.

I recently bought/charged (sorry mom, it won't happen again) Train's debut album.   I really enjoy it.  A nice calm change of pace.  On another note, I am currently driving the T-Bird so my mom can drive the Honda while her car is in the shop.   I think in 1987 they should have been smart enough not to put the driver's seat controls on the console so passengers could throw you around at will.

"As a student, you are provided with the privilege of using campus computer networks."  ----  As a student, I remember seeing something about a 'connection fee' on my bursars bill before.  There seems to be a conflict of stories here.

Feb 2, 1999-
The other team didn't show up for our intramural game.  I guess that just goes to show how weak Walker 11 West really is.

Today marks the release of an even newer fro.morpheus.net.  Do not fear though, its not exactly finished.  Well, unless I give up on it.

Not a whole lot going on.  Its the beginning of a new week of classes.  I'm going to do my best to attend all of my classes this week, and at the same time do all the assignments that are starting to line up in front of me.  It will be pretty impressive if I can pull all this off.  I have an IM basketball game tomorrow too.   I'll let you know how it all goes.
